Ihuoma Ofordire
IHUOMA OFORDIRE (co-writer, EP108) is a writer/producer/director/actress known for her work on the ongoing FX Network drama, “Snowfall” and HBO’s Emmy-winning period sci-fi series, “Lovecraft Country,” which was executive produced by J.J. Abrams and Jordan Peele. Ofordire shared in a Writer’s Guild of America nomination for “Lovecraft Country,” winning widespread acclaim for the much-lauded eighth episode of the series titled, “Jig-a-Bobo,” which examined the aftermath of the infamous Emmett Till murder in 1950s Mississippi and the legacy of racist stereotypes. She also co-wrote the series finale, “Full Circle,” with creator Misha Green. Prior to her triumph on “Lovecraft…,” Ofordire created-penned and starred in the indie series, “Life, Love & Hollywood.” She also wrote-produced-directed and starred in her 2014 short film, “Furtive.” She’s also acted in a handful of short films including the 2008 student project, “Kwame” which earned director Edward Osei-Gyimah top honors at the Cleveland International Film Festival and a DGA Student Film Award; and 2010’s “Good Intentions”, was awarded HBO Best Short at Martha Vineyard Film Festival African American Film Festival. (which she also wrote and starred in). A native of Washington, D.C., Ofordire earned a B.S. in Journalism and Mass Communications from North Carolina A&T State University. She currently fronts her own L.A. based production company, 811 Entertainment.
